Guitar show with Mark Bogert, Menno Gootjes & Marcel Singor
Axe-Travaganza
AXE-TRAVAGANZA – The Ultimate Guitar Experience!
Fans of virtuoso guitar playing, get ready for an extraordinary musical journey! Three true masters of the electric guitar join forces on stage for AXE-TRAVAGANZA:
Menno Gootjes (Focus), Marcel Singor (Kayak, Ayreon, Plan Nine) and Mark Bogert (Magoria, Knight Area, Arena, ProgProms).
Expect an evening packed with fireworks, finesse and lightning-fast fretwork, combining original material with tributes to some of their greatest guitar heroes, including Gary Moore, Jeff Beck, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Tony MacAlpine and more icons of the 1980s.
For this tour, the three guitarists are backed by an outstanding band:
- Koen Herfst – drums: the powerhouse behind the kit, known for his work with Vandenberg, Epica and Armin van Buuren. Voted Europe’s best hard rock drummer for ten consecutive years.
- Jamie van Hek – bass: a highly versatile musician with an impressive live reputation, including work with Dulfer, as well as a teacher at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
- Jeffrey Revet – keyboards: known from After Forever.
- Bob Wijtsma – guitar: second guitarist and a true force on stage, known from Ayreon and Storytellers – Gitaarhelden with Harry Sacksioni.
Bogert, Gootjes and Singor need little introduction to guitar enthusiasts. For years, they have ranked among the leading names in both Dutch and international guitar polls, while also passing on their expertise as teachers at various conservatories.
AXE-TRAVAGANZA is more than a concert – it is an experience, a celebration of the guitar in all its glory. Expect passion, technique, emotion and, above all, an unforgettable night of guitar music.
