British neo-prog rock
Arena
Arena is one of the most respected names in progressive rock. The band was founded in 1995 by Clive Nolan, keyboard player with Pendragon and Shadowland, and Mick Pointer, the original drummer of Marillion. Blending progressive rock with symphonic and hard rock influences, Arena is known for compelling melodies, technically masterful compositions and unforgettable live shows.
Through many line-up changes, Nolan and Pointer have remained the backbone of the band, building a rich catalogue of studio and live albums. In 2020, Damian Wilson (Headspace, ex-Threshold, Ayreon) joined as lead vocalist, and he can be heard on the 2021 album 'The Theory Of Molecular Inheritance'.
